EB-3 (Skilled Workers & Professionals)

  • Final Action Date (Chart A): August 1, 2020 (advanced by 31 days)
  • Dates for Filing (Chart B): November 15, 2020
• Hong Kong, Macau, and Other Countries:
  • Final Action Date (Chart A): December 1, 2022
  • Dates for Filing (Chart B): March 1, 2023

EB-4 and Religious Worker Visas See Significant Retrogression

The EB-4 category, which includes special immigrants and religious workers, has retrogressed by approximately 1.5 years for Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.

EB-4 (Special Immigrants & Religious Workers)

• Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau:
  • Final Action Date (Chart A): August 1, 2019 (retrogressed by 519 days)
  • Dates for Filing (Chart B): February 1, 2021

Family-Based Immigration (F-Category)

There are no changes in either Final Action Dates (Chart A) or Dates for Filing (Chart B) for any family-sponsored visa categories.

Understanding Chart A vs. Chart B

• Chart A – Final Action Dates: Indicates when a green card can be issued.
• Chart B – Dates for Filing: Determines when applicants can submit their adjustment of status applications. If Chart B is open, applicants may file earlier, even if their final action date is not yet current.
